Do you have a liver?

Yup, you heard me. Do you have a liver?

Seeing how you’re reading this article you most likely have a liver, and I’m trusting you have a good one. But what about a heart? Do you have a heart? Or kidneys ; at least one? I would imagine you also have a spine and arteries and a spleen, and all sorts of other lovely organs that make your body function properly.

Maybe you haven’t given it much brain power, but if all your organs worked flawlessly but didn’t work TOGETHER, what would the state of your body be? Obviously, our organs have to not only work WELL, but need to work well TOGETHER. Still with me?

Now, what about the church? What if we have spectacular programs but none of the departments worked together, what would the state of Christ’s body be? Let’s go further.

Core Values. What are they?

Core Values are a set of values a church ascribes to in order for all people, all departments, all programs, and all activities to keep the same direction so the entire church works TOGETHER.

I’ll be honest, I won’t spoil the surprise here, but I promise if you attend Sunday morning, April 6th you will watch a new set of Core Values unfold before you that will both make sense and explain how we’ll do church in the future.
